Subject: RE: MN and IA PFT Numbers

Central Indiana
I don’t understand how IN and IL are 10 pods difference on counts this year but 17 bushel corn difference? Sounds extremely fishy to me. There can’t be that big of a discrepancy in corn yields with pod counts almost the same. Either they are trying prop up IL corn yields to match USDA better in the end or they are too low on IN. Just doesn’t make much since to a dumb farmer like me…the IA and IN comparison makes more sense to me. Little less pod count in IA but only 5 bu difference in corn. That I can get on board with but not 17bu difference. I don’t buy it.
