North Central Kansas | Our county went to county unit years ago here in Kansas. A couple of years ago the county tried to shove some of it back to the townships. We had to remind them that the voters decided this 25 years ago. There reason was they couldn’t find workers for the county. Not sure how they thought the townships were going to do better. Limited budgets and low population. All our township does is levy for rock and hire the rock put on the roads.
A county system is a better system than townships owning graders and hiring employees. | |
