Palestine Illinois | Has anyone here had any experience getting township road districts consolidated into a county district? I am in SE Illinois, in our county we have 10 townships. I assume every township has a similar set of nearly junk equipment. We are paying 10 guys to figure out Illinois excessive regulation. All 10 are trying to find employees at a substandard pay rate. Could we consolidate into a county road district? I would love to have one guy that is a great maintainer operator, rather than 10 that struggle . I would like it to be more cost effective, but I would like better roads more.
If you have gone through this I would like to get advice on how to proceed.
