All I've seen is "Acres being transferred to Federal Control." I highly doubt Buffalo grass will be sowed. Some 35% of federally owned land is permitted for grazing, and I would assume the same would be true for land taken for the Grain Belt Express.

Eminent domain - "Federal, state, and local governments can seize people's homes under eminent domain laws as long as the property owner is compensated at fair market value."

Around here when a federal reservoir was built years ago, farmland prices soared after the land was taken.
