Nobody can pull your credit report when it is frozen. I froze mine with all 3 credit bureaus after I had someone else try to open a credit card account in my name. Having a freeze on limits the ability of identity thieves to open new accounts in your name.
Pretty straightforward to freeze it. Just have to remember to take the freeze off for a few days when opening a new account or getting loan approval so the lender can pull a report. |
Free credit report, was worth it to me.
