So for those that are supposedly rolling because its "free" (which there are no free trades) its going to start biting if they are paying 8% on a larger principle
There have existed free trades, and even a few for-profit annual trades when things really get out of hand.
One of our dealer managers told me of a time when trade in values on wheel loaders got to be higher than the purchase price. A gov entity was trading loaders annually and some were coming in without any use because the amount budgeted for loader expense made it possible for the gov agency to get more loaders than they needed. If they didn’t spend the whole budget, they risked the budget getting cut in the future, so they just kept ordering more the next year. Low (or zero) hour loaders had exceptionally good trade in values. Turns out you don’t use up a budget amount very fast when something budgeted as an expense generates income. |
