NE Wisconsin | I have an old barn here that used to be for milking and hay storage. Hasn’t had a cow in it for 20+ years and the hay long been cleaned out. There is a bit a dust/straw dust in the corners though.
Recently we ripped out the old hay loft, and started ripping out the old milking area to make a new dry storage pad with more than 8’ of head room. When ripping out the hay loft my pops got a few spider like bites, figured some bugs were in there. Today while I was ripping out old concrete I keep feeling bugs on me but didn’t see them.
Finally I could see tiny tiny tiny clear bugs (smaller than flee, maybe like lice. Some were clear, some were black. But the smaller than the tip of a sewing needle.
Nothing living (outside of a few mice) have been in this barn for decades. It just stores a boat, few cars and lawnmowers. No grain, cows, pigs or chickens.
Any idea what bugs these are? And suggestions of what to fog/spray the barn with (which might be fun as it’s pretty breezy in there. | |
