| Unless a high water table or something keeps you from having a basement, I think it would be cheap and well used for the number of $ per square foot. Like previously stated, it doesn't have to fallow the house 100%. Heard last year a simple basement in a 30 x 60 would probably run around $40,000. It is nice to have a place for things like water heater, pipes, and duct work, can make things a lot easier sometimes. Outside of stairs or an egress window, it shouldn't cost much more, building it so one could go from garage to basement would make it easy to have a cleanup room. | |
