southern MN | Drove some back roads just north of me today, saw 2 entire farms that must have been PP. wow. Don’t see that around here in the past. Farmers used to try. Really, doesn’t bode well for the future if we don’t even need to try any more. But I digress.
If the crop tour didn’t see 40bu corn samples, they didn’t represent the average. Certainly we have 200+ areas, but we have 0 areas and we have 40 bu areas too. This is the most uneven corn I’ve seen in my lifetime.
I assume they pull over to the best looking spot they see on a 40 or 80, and sample that?
