central - east central Minnesota - | hoosier_red - 8/22/2024 10:44 Has anybody put in a full basement lately? Our architect was concerned that our plan has 16 corners. He mentioned not only the pour being more expensive but the skeleton of the house all the way up to the roof line being impacted. Any general thoughts are appreciated. TIA. If you want a basement - then make part of a basement and keep it confined to 4 or 6 corners . . . . not hard, not expensive and gives good affordable storage, rec room and/or utility. A basement does Not have to conform to the skeleton outline of the home. There are a few larger foot print homes that have 1200 - 1600 sq ft basement designed within the basic foot print of the 2500 sq ft or larger home plans - generally on walk out type lots . . . . .. .
