Spread some compost, manure, or just fertilizer on the thin spots. Keep removing the washed down dirt so it doesn't build up and lead to water issues in the house. Wouldn't hurt to burn, or mow, or graze the grass to develop a thicker sod. Sheep would be best, any mowing would work. Burning is probably more variable.
