And rent should be $200…like that’s going to happen. Sometimes WE are our own worst enemies.
Rent should cover money cost and taxes on land value. Currently rents are way less than they should be using 5% money cost.
In the perfect world that would be true but ambition , enthusiasm, maybe even greed drive prices beyond what equal land paying for itself. And maybe soon the pendulumn will swing the other way. Who knows there still seem to be a lot of deep pockets in my area.
