From what I’ve seen of the tour so far, and assuming their findings are representative of the states overall, I’d say 180 bu/ac is plausible for a national average. But I have yet to hear anything that makes me think 183 as the usda is claiming and 185-190 as some on here believe.

What the old saying? Prudence lies somewhere in the middle. It’s not a low yielding year (i.e. 170 bu/ac) but it’s also not the year that we somehow fly through the roof on a national level (I.e 185-190 bu/ac).

USDA will likely stick with 183 until they can’t anymore. Time will tell the story
