Not very long but your doctor will probably say "take it easy for two weeks. I had laser treatment (twice) and didn't have any pain from that. But there is a chance of bleeding which you don't want. My neighbor spent several days in the hospital with blood clots that didn't pass. I'm not sure if his was the TURP (knife) or laser.
