Let me start by saying I think most fertilizer salesman are just as slimey as the bottom of a fertilizer tank.
I’m not buying fertilizer this fall. I’m just not going to, I want to but I also want beans at 15$. You shouldn’t buy fertilizer either. If we are going to go broke, why go broke faster paying for wayyyyyy over priced fertilizer to make a couple of ceos richer? No let em sit on it. Let the dollar get weaker. Let these grain prices bleed into their sales and see then, come next spring, or god forbid you use a little lime and wait until fall of 2025 to buy. See if those greedy soft handed CEO’s get their heart right then
Because I’m not buying it when it’s that ****ing expensive
And I love fertilizer and I believe high yield is a farmers only redemption but my god I mean I can’t justify it I just can’t. It’s just so out of whack since covid. There were people I know who paid over 800$ a ton for potash two years ago. So they see this 500$ and think heyyy maybe at 400$ it’s a buy, it’s half what the peak was. But that’s retarded. Potash should be under 350$ a ton. At these prices potash should be 265 and ams should be 200. But that’s just me guessing based off what I remember prices were before the run up in grains.
I put out lime last year. Lot of the farm needed it. Gonna ride that into next year. They say the second year is when it does the most good releasing what’s already in the soil.
I’d go so far as to say you should SHORT the ever loving **** out of fertilizer companies. Because it’s so out of whack they have to have their heads alllllll the way up their asses
Amen couldn’t agree more |
