If they need the power in Chicago, they have wind and sun in Illinois. Kansas gets zero power or benefit from this proposal and legislators said as much last night. 5000 MW line is what Invenergy is proposing and would be the largest HVDC line in the United States and there is no scientific evidence of the health and environmental risks involved with living close to something like that and yet in my county alone they propose running it within 300 feet of at least 12 homes that I know of personally. This is a Federal Land Grab; 5 miles wide 780 miles long and that's just 1 of the 10. | |
