MN | Just used apartments.com for a background check - I think the cost was around $29 to the renter and came back with a pretty good background check. Renter accessed through an email. Court records are another option for free for starters. Also can use apartments.com to collect rent for free if you are willing to wait 5-7 days for it to hit the account. It's a little confusing in spots but able to work through most of the questions. It sends reminder emails etc.
