Subject: Department of Energy 5-20 mile wide corridors

Hoisington, KS
I'm surprised this hasn't been talked about here since we have had 3 public meetings in the last week with legislators. It was announced back in May that Biden's DOE came up with 10 possible corridors throughout the country to run transmission lines from wind and solar projects to more populated areas and over rule the State Commissions and force eminent domain to get their way. The proposed corridor from Kansas to Illinois/Indiana state line is 5 miles wide and follows the Invenergy Grainbelt line to a T, which is convenient and an Illinois court judge stopped the project again couple weeks ago. Now the legislators say the FEDS can come in and bypass the Kansas Corporation Commission or whatever state jurisdiction and force these projects thru and to hell with your property or residence and put these HVDC lines where ever they want. Some of these corridors in Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Colorado are 20-100 miles wide. There was only a 45 day public comment period that nobody was made aware of including our senators and representatives, our Farm Bureau organizations, or our State corporations commissions. I see this as the start of the 30x30 campaign, which is downright ridiculous.
