Southern Missouri | Most of the multi guys around here can weather about any storm, but these last few post covid late model tractor and combine prices that will dang near bring as much as new even through an auction years have made multi unit guys out of some who weren’t really multi unit guys to start with , dealer made it easy for them. Roll the old note into the new note on higher priced but cheaply ,very cheaply ,traded for new pieces with no old payment but a new note for next year deal. Now next year is here and nobody not even the very well heeled can trade because dealer is all of a sudden severely cramped (can’t hardly drive thru the lot cramped)with one and some two year old (only used one year ) pieces that the real end user can’t or doesn’t want .The old normal multi guys won’t have a big issue , but can you imagine how big the dollar figure is for the payment to the guys who just jumped on an all of a sudden easy wave to ride and the wave completely disappeared? The not too long ago tractor prices of a couple hundred thousand haven’t been in that figure range for some time now ,payment on farm lot full of 400 thousand dollar tractors that wasn’t being planned for plus a couple really expensive pieces (combines and pickers ) are serious figures .Im betting my area isn’t the only area with a couple of these guys around , they aren’t landed gentry’s.
