He doesn’t have a clue what he is talking about. It’s not a beef or beef consumption issue. Avian Flu is deadly to birds aka chicken, turkey, egg production. It’s not to keep the beef herd healthy. It’s to contain and prevent spread to the poultry industry.

Edit: Avian flu is a disease if in your poultry herd, the poultry in that barn are eliminated to prevent the spread. That’s what drove egg prices nuts a couple of years ago. Serious, serious disease no poultry producer wants.


The fact is the scare tactic affected the market on cattle in a negative while the report would have likely been positive. Do you think somebody would not want those numbers out?
