The issue is it's supposed to be yours if you bought it, another issue is it's not nearly all capitol gains,it's inflation caused by poor government spending. So did you really gain that much or is it inflation that doesn't benefit you as everything costs more so the gain isn't really a capitol gain. Remove inflation from the capitol gain tax to make it a true capitol gain.
