S Illinois | Logically aren’t the number of cattle on feed just the balance between the number of placements and numbered slaughtered. So if we have fewer placements and fewer slaughtered, cattle on feed number can remain the same.
We need to know what the size of the calf crop was.
Edit: Also how are old bred cows handled? Has there been a selling of the breeding stock?
