CENTRAL ILLINIOS | This is a link to a guy's oil filter study done in 1999and then updated in 2008. Done on car filters but the message is universal - there are big differences in filters. Fram has not made filters for decades according to this guy and other filter names change manufactures over the years. Of the 25 or so filter brands he checked, most of them were manufactured by 5 companies.
