We have tried out gleaners 3 times over the years, and had trouble plugging the feeder house on green stemmed soybeans every single time. The first time was many years ago against our MF 760, and the most recent was when they came out with the"super"series. It had a 40 foot draper and was constantly plugging the feederr house.
We continue to run the agco axial rotor machines and our new to us challenger 540C is a beast in green soybeans. I would like the lighter weight of a gleaner, but that tiny feeder house has always caused trouble for us. Maybe they are better now
They have changed the feeder floor in the S9s. Able to modify earlier ones, and lots have done it. Dan Hurtt developmented the mod and Gleaner finally started implementing it. Personally haven't ever had a problem with feeder chain plugging. Only time its done it is when a bunch comes in and clogs header and front feeder up. Back it out with reverser and roll on. Its happened numerous times on a deere and lexion one too i use to operate. I'd like to actually see the problem you described, if its farther back than just on the front.
