I’m just going to go ahead and say it, projected yields are too high. How high? The jury is still out. Central Illinois, farm managers went and did a mini crop tour and they found a lot of corn with a 1 in front of it. We lost a lot of nitrogen this spring, corn is firing bad to the ear. Wet springs are not ideal.
If Illinois is going to average 250bpa over the entire state there better not be very much starting with a 1.
