Senator Moran said he “will pay close attention to the Department of Energy’s (National) Interest Electric Transmission Corridor (Designation) Proposal as it develops and will continue to ensure landowners’ “voices are heard.”

Senator Marshall said in part, “The use of eminent domain, if needed, is wrong. I have stood firm in my opposition to giving the federal government the ability to overrule states on local projects and will continue to push back on this administrations overreach of power.”

Any final decision regarding the electric transmission corridor proposal will come from the Department of Energy. A precise timeline isn’t clear.

The 10 corridors proposed nationwide are in four phases. The first two phases are complete. The fall, Phase 3 begins when the Energy Department will hear from the public. So far, no in-person engagement sessions have been released but there is an email where you can submit questions or comments: [email protected].”
