Subject: DTN pegged Illinois at 212 vs NASS at 225.. 140 million bu difference.

I’m just going to go ahead and say it, projected yields are too high. How high? The jury is still out. Central Illinois, farm managers went and did a mini crop tour and they found a lot of corn with a 1 in front of it. We lost a lot of nitrogen this spring, corn is firing bad to the ear. Wet springs are not ideal.

it’s blasphemy to say that record trend line yields won’t occur..

but seriously NASS is 11 bu over the previous record.. it’s good.. but is it really THAT Good?

212 bu.. 2 bu under 2022’s record according to DTN.. would be about 140 million bushels lower.. break even on the rest.. and the US crop doesn’t break 15 billion bushels?
