Maybe you should come take a look around… beans on sand are yellow today. Corn on a lot of lighter ground is getting hammered instead of adding weight to the kernels. 5 weeks and there will be combines running, should be 6.5 or 7 weeks with the spring we had. Northern Indiana
I'll compare crop conditions anytime you want. It's always the same story, too wet in the spring, would much rather deal with a drought. Then it gets dry and hot and we are no longer going to have a perfect. But I don't count cuz I'm not in the corn and beans part of the world. I raise wheat and Milo, or at least I try to. Haven't had the combine out of the shed for 2 years, that's counting both crops in both years. I was lucky enough to get two and a half inches in the last 2 weeks. That makes 3 and 1/2 in total since the first of May. Still not going to have a Milo crop this year, it's all burned up. I could complain on here also but you know, I don't think that's going to make a difference. |
