Valley, NE | I take my 13 year old camping with a couple of his buddies every April for his birthday, and they rave about my "pan meals". We mix up the following in a big pan with some butter kinda like a low country boil and they just eat it up.
couple bags of frozen cooked shrimp
keilbasa cut in coins
can of corn
cubed up potatoes
onions cut up
bell pepper cut up
some butter
then the secret ingrediant on top is some chunked pineapple (gives it a sweet salty savory flavor)
then a couple scoops of garlic and i like Old bay and black pepper on it, then top it plate side with some hot sauce.
Cover it with tin foil and cook it until the poatoes are soft.
It's not the most "economical" meal to make but it can go in a cream can, can cooker, dutch oven, disposable tin pan and can be pretty hearty. I usually prep all the stuff and just bring the pan to the fire pit and dish it out in bowls.
