I'm old enough that when funds started trading they had position limits where they were restricted to so many contracts to keep them from overwhelming or controlling trade. The cbot didn't like that because they want a cut out of every contract traded. They also raised the trading limits so high they really don't mean anything anymore.
Liquidity is the argument of proponents of unchecked gambling….which is valid….to a point. |
