Nw Iowa | Here we are on separate units or farms ( only count if in same section. It is terrible High but with this years up and down we will hopefully get our premium back as some farms are closer to 15% or more drown out while others only have a couple of percent. We probably would have done a better job of marketing if we hadn’t had the insurance last two years as we got too comfortable with fed crop guarantees and didn’t forward contract enough. This year though we are very thankful to have it. Poor crop and poor price I guess are reason we buy insurance. Will be first time other than hail we will collect any meaningful amount in many years. | |
