Been hearing for 60 years --OMG --taking farm land out of production OR disease ---Many would starve in 10-15 years
Taking land out of production FOR
Wetlands
Housing
CRP
roads
Wildlife
Population growth
NOW the big fears
GLOBAL WARMING
Solar panels
Not making any more land
Disease would decimate the agricultural production (We had Asian Soybean rust)
Bird flu
Farmers average age is growing --no one left to farm
Every one was touted as possibly "human life ending"
Nuclear bombs, earth quakes, volcanos, and the big meteor with earths name on it
Cried wolf too many times --I'm not one bit worried about solar panels
Some get pretty hungry --land will be converted back to ag or instead of grass yards there will be gardens

There won't be gardens I the city where there is no place to have a garden. And most people won't have the gumption or knowledge to do a garden. I don't know that once something is built it will be reverted back . If times get that tough there will be rioting and violence. We're not the 1930's type people with self dependence and pride anymore. |
