EC SoDak | Public auction of what I’d call poor ground this past winter was 595, I believe it was for a two year lease…. The year before, public auction of a bunch of ground that transitioned to private auction for the highest few bids to swing it out on the winner were 450+ for 4 year leases. Those were the more public ones and not prime ground. So, think what you want to think.
Edit- a fool with money is still a fool. Some are likely using rather cheap ground to expand their base and ride it until they can negotiate lower later. Others are just trying to expand and hoping for the best.
