Have people scouted the good and then poorer areas in MN? I haven’t seen any posts on it, so I’m curious. What I noticed in my shorter/poorer areas from the wet and cold earlier on, that the heat and dry I got in July snapped it back to reality a bit. So you have 6’ corn but most of the ears were surprisingly 16X35-40 potential as pollination was happening.

I was telling my marketing guy this morning pre report when I was setting some floor, (mostly 25 crop, but a little 24 crop) that if I was asked my ear and kernel counts, It would show as a pretty big crop. Even with some of the poorer areas showing as slightly* below average, the good areas are dang good.

Missed the word slightly

Is the corn showing N deficiency? Kernel counts now won’t tell you much now if it is.
