It depends on what you want.

I started with a cheapo and it lasted a while. When it died I replaced it with a Milwaukee because batteries are easier to deal with because its not used much.

However, I LOVE my IR camera. Yes it was significantly more expensive, but it just hooks to my phone port.

I can see the in floor heat with it and I just last week found a short in the dryer wiring by energizing the panel and looking which wires got hot. It was an instant result, I was amazed.
