How was demand in the 70’s? What was carry out? What was stocks to use? What was national yields? It seems to me there are several reasons why things are the way they are now.Not trying to take away anything you’ve said. I just think there is always several pieces to the puzzle.

We raise raw materials that have little value until someone else adds value to it. Our supply is exceeding demand so no one is fighting over the current supply. Low prices cure low prices. But when you’re losing money patience is short to none existent.
