NWMO | I think a simple way to look at it is this, what did it cost to put a crop in the ground back in 2019/2020?
Corn was roughly (not including rent) $500/ac? Beans were around that $300/ac mark? What’s it cost this year?
I’d say most guys have 20% more cost in growing the crop than they did 4-5 years ago. However, the price is $0.50-$0.80 higher, so I’d say that this year is pretty comparable to 2019/2020. Only difference is that Uncle Sam isn’t sending out any checks, so just gotta take it and work with it | |
