East Central South Dakota | The basis of your denial is that weather brought the 181.8 number down. Hello, wake up. That is what producers are saying most of the time. Every year we trade an artificially high number for 5 months and then, because of weather, the usda adjusts the number down.
Let's start the new crop number in the March report at the 5-year average and adjust it at the end of the year. Better yet let us just eliminate the whole antiquated department and look to new technologies.
usda missed the preventive plant number in 2019. Industry knew it and the market knew it. The market was hoping to limp into 2020 production and panic buying kicked in--- caused in part because of great exports and a poor finish. The 181.8 number allowed market complacency and discounted grains artificially. All these weather problems at the time of the late summer of 2020 were discounted by folks like you as backyarditis. Today it is the reason of a rally. Will this year be the same?
Ifs and buts and ifs and buts to always try to control the narrative. |
