East Central South Dakota | Facts of incompetence aren't blaming anyone. Look at what happened in 2020 from the August to final yield. It was bumped higher to 181.8 from the July to August report but was slowly revised lower, eventually falling all the way down to 171.4 in the October 2021 report, over a year later. It will be interesting to see how this year's average yield ultimately plays out??? How much money did missing the yield by 10 bu/acre in 2020 cost producers??? How much did reporting corn acres on preventive plant acres because Government allowed the rules to be changed in crop insurance in 2019 cost producers? There is plenty of factual evidence that allows the producers to be somewhat cynical of a system that brings absolutely 100% zero value to production agriculture. Based on prior performance don't be so quick to judge and cast stones. |
