| Even if you run a few green ones out the back, one is still ahead to run the 18% beans.
Beans at 10% cost too. Also beans pop if they get dry, especially if they have been wet after being dry.
If I have a wet spot I normally have enough drier beans to make a pass of wet ones then a few passes of dry. By the time they get spread out in the bin they will even out.
I cut most of mine at 16-17 last year. No shatter loss. I had a few dry loads in the bottom of the bin as I air dried them some. Most loads came out last week between 12.5 and 13.5 moisture.
That is a lot better than last year when I hauled out a bunch of 8 and 10 percent beans.
