We run a tight ship -don't leave much for the rabbits --we have less loss at 18% than 10%
-If you try it without right settings you'll choak over the concave and screw out the back
I don't post advice on ag talk unless I've made it work --
I don't know what your experience is
I posted about the 915 because I know some on AgTalk are running older machines
Don't remember the year -- about 1983 it rained seemingly every other day all fall 1976 IH 915 22.5' head made it work
8240 just need to set it right -- go about 2.5MPH with a 40' draper head
Only have one machine
We fungicide every acre---If we waited for perfect "easy to cut" dry stem, 14% or less moisture soybeans
--Heck we would still be cutting soybeans Christmas day
