36 will be slower. But you will see a lot more! Once you are in CO go north to 34 as soon as you can. Being able to gawk at the feedlots and dairies along that route is very interesting. It will take you straight to Estes. Anything to do with Denver or around Denver sucks if your a country driver like me...
