Holland, Indiana (SW IN)
Wet green soybeans it’s just setting
Definitely not by the book
We have a Flagship Case now but we made it work with a IH 915 bunch of years back 40+
Concave needs to create a wedge enter more open darn near touching exit end — not tighter in the middle —on the 915 had to modify the concave
On the 8240 we have now move the RH side tighter
Lots of rotor speed no straight bars vanes in the middle think we might have the rear vanes in fast at times
We adjust till no unopened pods — plenty of butter beans but they dry down quickly in dryer
We’ve cut 10 acres of replant soybeans “green” in a field it worked — much easier than returning to field they were almost all butter beans— slow through the handling augers or you’ll choke them
Too many unopened pods add filler plates front and LH part of concave
On the 915 we plated front few openings

Good luck has worked for us— makes the neighbors talk

Dan
