I'd like to slap the jerks that design this stuff.   Why do they keep changing the sizes?   We ran into trouble because fridges got 5 inches taller and we only had 4 1/2 inches on top.     Son had to replace his fridge, has stone countertops.   Every time I see that fridge I'm amazed that he got it shoe horned in there, it was that tight.

No reason for appliances not to have certain standard measurements.
