At about 23% moisture seems where corn wants to shell and remove the whole kernel easier. I think some of the phantom loss could be attributed to higher foriegn material in wetter corn. So maybe you don’t get docked but go from 1% to 3% fm and you picked up 2% yield or 4bu/ac on 200bu corn. We ran quite a bit of corn in the 26-32% range last year and it has plenty of fm that we normally don’t have.
