Northern Indiana | I used to use nanostations outside and Amplifi HD router only inside (no mesh points). That stuff is getting some age on it and is harder to find but would still work well.
Have gone to almost all Unifi Mesh (U6-mesh etc) since that time and not looked back. 400ft is far enough for a wireless uplink, but should do good. There is an optional directional antenna for the AC mesh. Almost all the unifi line does wireless uplink and acts as an access point at the same time
