Subject: RE: Tiling rent ground agreement

Before I had my own equipment I had one farm that the landlord that allowed 20% of an agreed amount of tiling each year to be taken of the yearly cash rent. I had done some on my own before that. the first spots were really bad and he could see the improvement. Since then I have gradually got better equipment. As my equipment has got better and tiling is easier I do all my own tiling and more of it even on rented land. With a yield maps Its not too hard to pick spots that can pay back the tiling to me in one year.
Most landlords think that their land is at least average. It is a losing proposition to tell the land lord they have a poorer farm and you can't pay the rent they want.
