west-byGod-Pa. | Mum used to put pickle slices in crock with hydrated lime in water: crisped them up nicely. You can keep yur sour dills: CANNOT tolerate them.! She had a recipe for making watermelon rind pickles: sweet : many, but they were good!

My favorite pickles are a specific item: Belle View brand hot cucumber chips. Each jar has two japaleno peppers in jar with something like a bread & butter sweet brine: great on salads & sandwiches or along with cheese. | |
