Yes that is true.

In my case it is much more than just the weight control.

I would also need to start insulin shots again, diabetic drugs, and blood pressure drugs for starters. Probably get my knees replaced with artificial. Plus a plethora of other health benefits down the drain.

So I have some incentives to keep me on track.

This month in Indonesia is proving difficult. But managing not horribly bad. Hard to get enough meat and what we do get nearly always has breading or tempura covered. A lot of their so called meat dishes have pasta or potatoes in with the meager portion of meat. Blood sugar is spiking but coming back down pretty well between meals. Plus the diving and stairs give some helpful exercise.

Fruit is my kryptonite. They have lots of fresh fruit around. Even on the dive boat for between dives. And it is delicious.

At home not really all that hard. Wife and I going on 6 years now. I know a lady controlling her Parkinson's symptoms with a ketogenic diet for almost 5 years now. It works.
