Sheridan Mi | My vet told me one day that he had pulled a calf from a heifer that was 13 months old. He told the woman that she must be mistaken on the age, but turns out it was a registered heifer and she went and got the papers and showed him. He advised me to start giving Lutalyse to heifers when we work calves after weaning. I did have one abort a calf about the size of a small kitten one time. There is a connection between scrotal circumference of the sire bull and how soon his heifer offspring will begin to cycle, so that 10 month old heifers cycling thing can be shorter. | |
